David Berweger (*1982) explored questions of appearance and reality through site-specific works rooted in everyday motifs. Using unexpected materials and subtle interventions—such as carpet-like strips made of scattered pigment—he gently unsettled perception. Conceived as open gestures unfolding in space and time, his precise yet playful works combined illusion, irony, and clarity and reminded us that humor, paradox, and the overlooked can reveal much about our own experience.

CARAVAN was an exhibition series at the Aargauer Kunsthaus that invited emerging Swiss artists to present site-specific interventions. Each exhibition was accompanied by a published booklet
