Nature has long been a rich source for Eva-Fiore Kovacovsky (*1980). She draws on natural phenomena and uses organic materials such as leaves and grasses. Inspired by early reproduction techniques and working with photograms, she explores plant forms — such as caterpillar-perforated leaves— and transforms them into abstract visual signs.
At the Aargauer Kunsthaus, her works were displayed alongside pieces by Sophie Taeuber-Arp (1889–1943) and Hans Arp (1886–1966). Kovacovsky’s visual language, marked by a poetic lightness, in which natural growth and human construction intertwine in compelling ways, created an engaging dialogue with these key figures of classical modernism.
CARAVAN was an exhibition series at the Aargauer Kunsthaus that invited emerging Swiss artists to present site-specific interventions. Each exhibition was accompanied by a published booklet.
